In the second match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 Edition, Lahore Qalandars (LQ)defeated Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) by 4 wickets.
Lahore Qalandars achieved the given target of 141 runs given by Peshawar Zalmi in the 18th over at a loss of six wickets. Fakhr Zaman & Sohail Akhtar from Lahore Qalandars started chasing the target cautiously and increased the team's score to 29 runs in four overs. On this occasion, Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar was dismissed for 14 runs. Qalandars' second wicket fell at 38 when Fakhr Zaman was caught out hitting a big shot off Wahab Riaz's ball.
After two wickets fell, a 14-run partnership was formed between Agha Salman and Mohammad Hafeez and the team's score reached 53. Then Agha Salman was bowled by Emad Butt. Meanwhile, the ball started reverse swing, taking advantage of which Wahab Riaz and Saqib Mahmood took the wickets of Ben Dunk, Smith Patel and David Wiese.
At one point it seemed that Zalmai would snatch the match from Qalandars but Muhammad Hafeez and Rashid Khan played well under pressure and led the team to victory in the match.
