Mumbai: With the help of dangerous bowling by fast bowler Deepak Chahar (four for 13), Chennai Super Kings recorded their first win in two matches by defeating Punjab Kings by six wickets in IPL 14 on Friday. Of This was the 200th IPL match of Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his team won brilliantly. Chennai held Punjab to a modest score of 106 for eight in 20 overs and then lost four wickets in 15.4 overs to score 107 for an easy victory. Chennai soon lost Roturaj Gaikwad (5) but Faf du Plessis and Moin Ali added 66 runs for the second wicket to take the team to the brink of victory. Moin made 46 off 31 balls with the help of seven fours and a six and was caught by Shah Rukh Khan off Morogan Ashwin.
The target was not big so Chennai did not have any problem. Sam Crane ended the match with a winning four. Crane remained unbeaten on five and Du Plessis remained unbeaten on 36 off 33 balls with three fours and a six.
